This is a very well kept city park. The sites are level and long enough to handle large units. The restroom and shower are newly constructed. I would stay here again.
This is a city park located on the south side of Independence Iowa. The sites are level and long enough for a large unit. However too short to handle my 35' fifthwheel and the truck. They do provide parking for tow vehicles however. Cable is included with the $15 per night fee. Will stay there again.
As stated in the May post, this campground has had to deal flooding all summer. In talking to the owner they had 8 floods this summer. With that said, the park was great with much to do. My only neg. comment was the width of the gravel pads. I think they could have made them wider. This however may be fixed by next year. A great park I plan on returning.
This by far was the most friendly group of campground host I have ever seen. From help get into site to giving me coupons to a local restaurant. I did have trouble with cable signal however. The only down side was no fire pit, camping without a fire was hard to adjust to. My 35' fifth wheel took up most of the site very little room for truck. I would stay there again
For a center of town place to park the rig this campground is OK. On the plus side for an extra $15.00 you get a wrist band for entrance to the major park across the street. That was worth the stay. On the neg side sites are narrow if the park was full awnings could not be out. The TWO pull throughs they have are at the end of the parking lot. You are really just in the middle of the road. I would stay there again
A very nice state park. The sites are wide however some would be hard to get into with a big rig. It was hard to get into the site I had. I would camp there again.
This is a county park with a lot of potential. The sites are wide, however for my low rating is the fact the park is out of the times. There are no pads leveling is very hard. Some of the electric boxes are too far away for normal elecric cords. I would not stay again.
I have to agree with the other ratings for this park. Although my main focus is on the width of the sites. Many of the sites due to trees you can not put out your awning. Its true side by side camping.
This park all though not a resort has many fine points if you are looking for a true park. The park is clean and well maintained, the owners are taking large steps to enhance the park for everyone. There is a good Mini Golf course many play areas and the Alpacas to entertain campers. We stayed there for a week and would go back.
